Cristiano Negro

 

 

Cristiano is a graduate of a Master degree on Human Nutrition Sciences at the University of Parma, subsequently a research fellow, and currently in the first year of a Ph.D position in Food Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Pedro Mena.

His research work involves mapping the complexity of the diet by studying the circulating metabolites of plant bioactive compounds and the food-microbiome-host interaction, using an advanced metabolomic approach and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) coupled with mass spectrometry (MS).

During this period, he has actively collaborated in various international projects, such as ERC PREDICT-CARE, PRIMA MED4YOUTH, H2020 PREVENTOMICS, FARE CARE-DIET, and ONFOODs.
